hello nottingham...

from nottingham comes some very neat (not so) new (anymore) band, named we show up on radar. actually it's not a real band, it's just one artist - andy wright plus the help of peter sampson and melissa guneau. that's all i know about this band. to find out more.... read an interview with andy wright at leftlion.co.uk.
the 6 songs on the ep come along like a sesame street soundtrack. the lyrics are pretty naive (in a very positive way) and kinda funny. musically this band is nothing really new, but lyrics, voice and music work perfectly together. can we create a new label here? what about.... sesame-street-folk-pop? no, we can't. but it'd fit pretty well. oh and there's this absolutely loveable song "a spider on a thread" which has parts of "que sera sera in it. if you don't get a chance to buy this ep (it's very limited)... download it from hellothor.com: we show up on radar - a loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter ep download

similar artists: sparklehorse, the mountain goats, neutral milk hotel, the displacements, buke and grass

actual ep: we show up on radar - a loaf of bread, a container of milk and a stick of butter (hellothor - 15.02.2010)
